Access at privately-owned ranch (permission must be obtained)
(Hwy 5 approximately 3 km north of border crossing)
Left on gravel road for 1.5 km
Right on road for 3 km to farm buildings
North on St. Mary River for 19 km
Several nice canyons along the route
P 30 m L around dangerous weir
Kimball Park and picnic ground
Take out at Hwy 501 bridge

The weir is gone, the put in is now public access, Kimball campground, take the road south through Kimball and follow the canoe signs.This access is on the opposite side of the river from the ranch and a couple of miles north
