Hi Kim,

Thanks for posting this. Gus' books have a bit more history, while Mike's books have some history and good route notes IMO. As of 2007, there is a major log jam just below the outflow into the Big Salmon. In high water, this is a boat eater. Big Salmon village is worth a stop. There is good fishing on the Big Salmon and it is less traveled than it used to be. The "resort" at Minto Landing is now run by someone new. Watch for theft there, and especially at the campground at Carmacks.
