Rivière Rupert. Information.
The Rupert has been dammed. I don’t know how far upstream the effects extend. According to the cartespleinair (Charles Leduc) entry by Marc Masson (link posted below), the reach from Lac Mistassini to the Route du Nord is little or not at all affected by the hydroelectric development. For the rest, the information provided below is of largely of historical interest, what the Rupert once was.
ALLAN: Expand entry.
Here are access/egress points that I picked off the Boisclair maps (link below).
Lac Mesgouez at km 221 of the Route du Nord.
Rivière Rupert crossing at km 241 of the Route du Nord.
Nemiscau settlement (via the Rivière Nemiscau to Lac Nemiscau and the Rivière Rupert).
Rivière Rupert (Oatmeal Rapids) crossing at km 257 of the Route de la Baie James.
Waskaganish.
