Congrats on the new addition. It sure is a well layed out boat

Change your opinion.....hey I wasn't the one who had to be told about Blount county nudity rules.......and don't you have one of them orange micro fleece?
I heard you triggered a couple drive pasts by the Surete du Quebec and it wasn't because of your parkin'

No, I will keep both boats for a while - just took the Phantom for an outing on Sunday and had so much fun with it.

...and yesterday I went for a short run down the rapids with the Fantasy - annother source of fun...

Well we all need a little luxury now and then. Why not keep both boats and use each for its purpose?

"So I fully agree they aren't the same boat just stretched. But, I think for comparison purposes the only other Royalex canoe that is remotely similar would be MRC and Berry's other cooperative effort, the Flashback in Royalex which preceeded the Fantasy.

PK"

The difference between the Fantasy and ME is a little bigger than that. Look at the relatively sharp chine in the center of the Fantasy. Very UNlike an ME. Flashback didn't have it, and my MR Synergy, asymmetric descendant of the ME, doesn't have it. Haven't paddled a Fantasy, but that little chine may make a big difference in handling. Looks to me like the designers, while not jumping away from the ME, weren't keeping it very much in mind when designing the Fantasy.

Some time ago I tried to buy a MadRiver ME and was adviced to ask again this fall. Well, I will keep that in mind and gather some money meanwhile. If I am lucky to purchase that boat too we can probably really compare both boats. But will there be any justification to own three ww-boats?

I own 8 whitewater boats. Is there any excuse for not owning a bunch of them? :D
