Ham & Taters

Ingredients: 

whole, cooked smoked ham;

2 envelopes instant mashed potatoes (I prefer 3-cheese version)

stove; covered pot; skillet

Instructions: 

measure & boil water; remove from heat and stir in potato mix; cover and set aside; slice ham 1/4" - 3/8" thick, brown slices in skillet; can be topped with mixture of mustard and honey or syrup (little packages from fast-food counters)

Comments: 

easy, cheap, and filling. I freeze the ham already wrapped in bubble wrap, then in a paper bag. The ham will stay good for several days without refrigeration, in most weather
