Technical Guide:

from Down town Amherst Drive on Victoria Ave towards the Tindle Rd, about .6 Km on this rd from town you will see a very big house on the left set back from the rd. there is an unmarked dirt rd on the left just past this house. Park in the first area near the small dam. you need to put in on the left of the Dyke, there is a canal the hugs this dyke. Keeping the dyke on your left your off. keep left and follow the canal markers, small boays. these end after a time but just keep on going. the canal gets narrow after about 1 hour, just push on though. there is another canal the heads of to your left this leads to Long lake. Once on the lake the is a river to Round Lake on the left about half way up the lake. there is camping around the lake, as well as cabins that are owned by locals, so have respect for their property. there are several little canals and dead ends on this trip so use arial photos avalible on google Earth.

Other Maps:
Google Earth is best for this trip. the topo 21 H/16 is good for an over view but useless for the trip. I have not looked for the 1:10,000 of Long lake but it may be of use.

Special Comments:

Lots of bugs, as this is a marsh, Ive been told they have an adapted breed of Black fly that is more agressive, although it felt this way this is most likely local foke lore. Really nice trip for wild life and sceanery, its faily remote but you may run into some fisherman along they way.
