Route Description
Technical Guide:

Kawartha Highlands Signature Sites Provincial Park.
Nice paddle from access point 4 at one end of the lake to the portage at the other end of lake. Lots of scenery (and many cottages on Wolf lake). After a short and easy portage to Crab Lake, no cottages or motor boats on Crab Lake...very peaceful and beautiful. There are about 7 campsites on this lake (one is an emergency only site) with the campsites far enough apart to be nicely secluded from other campers. The water from the lake can easily be filtered (or boiled) for drinking. Very much enjoyed and appreciated this loop and will certainly be back to try another loop in this park :)

Special Comments:

We also paddled a considerable amount of Anstruther Lake, the portage from Wolf to Anstruther is 600m and mostly uphill on the way back. Anstruther Lake in the summer months would be extremely busy with motor boat traffic and we would suggest leaving this Lake for off season (before May 24 and after Labour Day).
