Well I managed to go from Head Lake to long lake
It is a fairly easy over nighter
Drive is only about an hour &1/2 from city up 400 north after Barry take hwy 11 before Orillia turn for 12 east then 44 north then 45 east to head lake
There is a small store south east corner of head lake give the owner about $5.00 you can leave van in his lot and he will keep an eye on it for you.
Then paddle all the way across head to the North West shore to find Head River
Upstream to first portage about 200 steps a bit up and down but easy after portage only about 5 min. paddle to Fishog Lake (nicest lake of the chain) strait west across fishog keep going up Head River through two more small lakes
A short portage separates these lakes then one more easy portage and you are on long lake total paddle about 4 hr. (small lake) good fishing Long lake has more bush right down to the water but it dose have some good places to camp. Nice small Island just as you get onto long lake but I think Fishog Lake is the better lake to camp on.

I believe the store is on the South west corner by the trailer park and the Head river flows into head lake on the North east corner.
I would like to know more about where to park on head lake and is it free camping.
