Free public parking at each end on paved roads in suburban built-up areas.
Start from Dick's Dam (or Edelweiss) park in Bolton, there are three potential parking lots along Glasgow Road. The takeout is at the end of Humber Bridge Trail along Highway #27 outside of Kleinburg. There is a flood diversion project in town, requiring several portages immediately after starting. It is all downstream from there. The river is very shallow and almost constant swifts/rock gardens for the nearly 5 hours it takes to get to Kleinburg.
Completed this route on 2 April 2010. Road noise is very noticeable in certain areas, otherwise completely deserted.
A few sweepers are likely, everything improves the farther you go. The entire river is heavily flood controlled and spring high water is likely the only time to do this section without a lot of wading.
