Moin Peter,
Laß mal was von dir hören.

Comments:

This river is actually a long and narrow lake. Therefore it behaves like any other lake of this kind: it creates its own wind! Be prepared for 2-3 ft waves out of nowhere within 20 minutes. Stay near the shoreline. If you put in at Victoria Bridge, it takes nearly 2 days to the Mira River Provincial Park (good campground. There is no official camp site for the first 30 kms of the trip (was one: Mac Keigans-but closed in 2002)It´s next to impossible to find a good spot once you past the Two Rivers Wildlife Park-
due to cottage properties.
This tour is also possible wise versa as there is no current on Mira River (except the mouth at Mira Gut).
