Well I got around to digging for some info I hope it helps and it may give you a few other places to try out.
There is a private campground right near Twillengate and depending on winds you should be able to get some boating in.
There is no web site but I do have an email
Peyton's Woods RV park and Campground
there are some seperate tenting sites away from the trailers.
peytonsrvpark@yahoo.caLots to do in the area besides boat, iceberg and whales, birds, light house..
Fro some route info Canyons coves & coastal waters.
http://books.google.com/books?id=L4ocmn ... q=&f=falseAnother great place is Elliston
very close to Bonavista and the town runs a camp ground by a nice beach.
http://www.rootcellars.com/And this one is the closest rv site (the only one) to Cape ST. Marys Bird Scantuary, if it is clear.........
a B & B in one of the small towns might be better, but they also have a couple of trailers to rent.
There is a small fenced in grass area for tents, but I would not recomend it. if the fog comes in and stays....
Or you could do a day trip from the town run camp area in Argentia by the ferry docks.
