Hello all,

How are the rivers on the southern shore? I'd like to know about the Rose Blanche Brook, Isle Aux Morts River, White Bear River, and Grey Rivers.

Are they runnable? From the looks of things, Grey River looks like it's wall to wall rapids. This trip is in the formative stages.

I am not very helpful but I am sure we crossed all those rivers and in August they were rocky.

seems to have a discussion group. I have no idea how useful it is.

Looks like I'd have to be a member to see the messages. The aforementioned rivers look to be short and powerful. I'm more of a seasoned sea kayaker, but have also been on many rivers in New England.

Sea kayaking opportunities abound in NL though I have only done day trips in Bonne Bay and Terra Nova National Park and Bell Island near St John Also Twilingate and Dildo Run..

I would love go go back to Burgeo and do a multiday out of there. We have been there but only on foot

I'd suggest contacting the person(s) who write these blogs

https://kayaknewfoundland.wordpress.com/

http://mynewfoundlandkayakexperience.blogspot.com/

They're locals who seem to know all about the rivers as well as the great sea kayaking spots around the island.
