We are thinking about using the train as a shuttle out and back, paddling from Embar to Menihek. Have found maps with a fair amount of info but there doesn't seem to be much paddling info about the river. Wondering if anyone out there has any info about the route or parts of it?

This past Summer I paddled Ashuanipi from the Trans-Labrador hwy south to Oreway (and then east on Riviere L'eau Claire). Since this portion of my trip was all on Ashuanipi Lake I don't know if I really have any info that might be helpful to you.
If you have any questions about that portion just ask.

Thanks. Doesn't seem to be any info about what we want to paddle. Maps show rapids, seems like there could be some big drops. Its interesting because being a little limited for time its train in, train out. I'll keep digging.
