I'm looking to do a longer paddle with a possible short overnighter on Feb.1-2. I was wondering access in to Alouette Lk. right now? The other option might be Chilliwack Lk. Is it frozen? How close can I drive? Any takers for a paddle? Thanks in advance, Canoeheadted. |

Hi Ted Not sure, but I think Alloutte is a hydro reservoir, with all the attendant bullshit associated with reservoirs (hugely varying water level, etc). Good for you, paddling this time of year. I don't think my gear is up to a February paddle, or I'd be in. Good luck! ![]() edit: You might find this usefull, its a photojournal of my trip to Chilliwack Lake, showing road conditions, etc. Chilliwack Lake is very nice, I highly reccommend it. There might be snow, but maybe not. http://picasaweb.google.com/tomfromvan/Chilliwack_Lake_Paddle?feat=embedwebsite# |
