Hey, I'm wanting to cross the Rockies, from the east, to the west. I'm selecting routes to compare now. If anyone has any suggestions, I would appreciate them.
So far, I have:
1. Getting dropped off at Hudson's Hope, going up to Williston Lake, and then going either:
1a. North on the Finlay River portage Kechika River, West on the Tucho River then West on the Stikine River.
1b i). West on either Ingenika River then West on Sustat River, then West on Skeena River.
1b ii) West on Nation River, then Northwest on Middle River then Babine River, then West on Skeena
1c) South on the Crooked River, then South on the Fraser, then either:
1c i) West on West Road River, West to Whitesail Lake, then portage west, where specifically, I have not been able to determine.
1c ii) South on the Fraser to Vancouver
1c iii) Southeast on the Fraser, portage to Kinbasket Lake, where specifically, I have no idea, Southwest on the Thompson River to rejoin the Fraser, to continue to Vancouver.
I don't necessarily want to run rapids, I will probably portage around anything very extreme. If I can avoid lots of people, I would prefer that.
