Finally got out to do some canogganing on the neighbour's fields.

Our Hellman Prospector handled beautifully. Very responsive once you got her up to speed. :D Only in the sled tracks was the boat a little twitchy. It doesn't look that steep, but it was! I tied a 20' canoe leash to my ankle just in case she got away from me. Definitely much faster than a regular sled!!! :o

Oh Yah! There's a reason why you only see kids tobagging all the time... It's hard work!!!

Well now that reminds me of a story! Many years ago some of the guys I worked with took an old alum canoe to the toboggan hill in a local park. Apparently they stopped by running unto the pavement on the street After a few runs down the hill a nosy neighbor noticed, wasn't impressed and phone the police. Cop car arrived a few minutes later and----unfortunatley---pulled over to the curb shortly after the guys had launched one more run down the hill. The guys bailed out before the canoe hit the cop car, but when the officer radioed in his report to the station about the olny opening line he could use was"You'r  e not gonna believe this but...."

Hey man, you beat me to that idea. Although I can't say I've had any concrete plans to do as such.

This would be one way to have a family toboggan ride? Just don't know if I'd have the nerve to use my new Mackenzie. This is where my royalex Dagger would have come in handy.

Anyway, great to see the pics! :)
