Comment. The waters of Lake Simcoe and Lake Couchiching flow into Georgian Bay via the Severn River, a tributary of which is the Black River (Washago). Route and other information for most of these waters is filed accordingly, namely in the folder Georgian Bay basin. But I have chosen to address the needs of paddlers by filing information for the Black River (Washago), and its tributary the Head River, instead in Region South Central, Subregion Haliburton.

Comments.
1. Some waters of the region flow into Georgian Bay, others into the Trent - Severn Waterway. Some waters (for example the Big East River and the Hollow River) flow out of Algonquin Park; none flow into the park. No waters flow into the Ottawa River (by definition of the CCR Ottawa region).
2. The dividing line between CCR Regions South Central and Georgian Bay Basin was chosen to lie west of Algonquin PP to the north, and to lie on Hwy 169 to the south. I refer the reader to the discussions of Subregions Muskoka and Haliburton for details.
3. CCR Region South Central includes all river-left tributaries (Gull River, Burnt River, Mississagua River, Deer Bay Creek, Eel’s Creek, etc) of the Trent part of the Trent - Severn Waterway, with the sole exception of the Crowe River and its tributary Beaver Creek.
4. Information for the “Kawartha Lakes” (more precisely the lakes on and south of the Trent - Severn Waterway), and also the river-left tributary Crowe River (and its tributary Beaver Creek), is filed in Region Southeast, Subregion Quinte.
5. CCR Region South Central is divided into the three Subregions Muskoka, Haliburton and Kawartha Highlands. My definition of the Subregions was a compromise between their traditional (imprecise) definitions on the one hand, and drainage basins on the other.
6. The boundaries dividing the Subregions are not precisely defined and so a search may be necessary. As well, some Routes pass through several subregions.
7. The limit of 60,000 characters required the splitting of all three Subregions (Muskoka, Haliburton and Kawartha Highlands).
