Polar Bear Express is a Canadian passenger train operated by the Ontario Northland Railway in Northern Ontario. … While designated as a passenger train, the
Polar Bear Express also carries specialized equipment including boxcars for canoes, snowmobiles, … . It operates 5 days per week year-round and connects Cochrane with Moosonee. During the summer months there is an additional train on Sundays and the train often includes a full length dome car. Prior to 2012, the train carried a full dining car during the summer. … The

Subregions. The volume of the material available for the region dictated the use of subregions, if the paddler were to make any sense of things.
I constructed five subregions; in more or less west to east order, they are:
Missinaibi,
Mattagami,
Abitibi,
Moose and
East.
The volume of material for subregion
Mattagami, plus the limit of 60,000 characters per post, required two posts; to assist the paddler in wading through all that material, I constructed sections within the subregion.
The 60,000 limit and other considerations (don’t split subregions unless absolutely necessary; keep the above west-east order intact) required five posts, as detailed below.
List of links. Introductory material and subregion Missinaibi.Post 1 of 5.
The Missinaibi River and its basin, plus continuations of those waters to the Bay.
http://www.myccr.com/phpbbforum/viewtop ... 07&t=36209 Subregion Mattagami. The Mattagami River and its basin, plus continuations of those waters to the Bay.

Ed notes:
1. The height of land between the basin of the Michipicoten River and that of the Missinaibi River lies at the east end of Dog Lake (and the west end of Crooked Lake) and so common starting points lie on the Michipicoten. I include the Michipicoten River in the title only if the Route contains a major segment on that river
2. Mattice (on Hwy 11) separates the upper and lower reaches of the Missinaibi.
3. I have imposed a moratorium on posting more paragraphs for Missinaibi Routes, except for those written by CCR members. The following paragraph provides links to Routes affected by the moratorium.
