The Sept 12th cleanup at McCrae lake got done (unofficially ) . Barrie canoe and Kayak Club had cancelled all club sponsored events this summer due to Covid . so the regulars came out "unofficially". 55 of 70 campsites got inspected, cleaned, or thunderboxes moved. Word from Ont Ministry of Environment, Conservation and Parks is that McCrae lake is next of the list for "regulation" . MECP first had to get Torrance Barrens under control, because over there the garbage pigs can just drive in with their motor homes and camper trailers. Now that Torrance Barrens is "regulated" and Conservation Officers can issue tickets there, attention will turn to McCrae Lake. That's the word from our MECP contacts this year, hopefully it happens soon.

I imagine we will be able to get the other 15 sites next May and built / move a bunch of Thunder Boxes
