Just wondering if anyone has used this access point. If the forecast for winds is favorable we are considering using it. Will be using a shuttle so our vehicles will not be left there

Are you referring to the Caribou Lake that provides entrance to Wabakimi PP?

Clem Quenville shuttled us out by motorboat from Outlet Bay to the Caribou Road parking lot at the south end of the lake one year (then drove us to our vehicles parked at Mattice Lake). So, I have not paddled it, but was able to see that it would be a long haul (and a slog, if you catch a nw wind). Using Little Caribou might be better to get you part of the way, if conditions are windy. That can also be accessed at the south end off Caribou Road. I have paddled the length of Little Caribou (returning from the ne area of Caribou), and I thought that was a pretty paddle. Wabakimi Project Map book 3 and/or detail from some of True North's trip reports for Wabakimi give info on that area.
I am south of the border, so I will be lucky if I get to go to Wabakimi in 2021, if that even happens....

Didn't answer as the OP didn't specify which Caribou.. ( there is a Big Caribou Lake near the French River) but yes I have launched at the foot of the big Caribou just outside of Wabakimi.

Takes a prize for unattractive and boring lake. Little Caribou is much more scenic and less prone to wind events.

That first day and last day of the trip on Big C really was two downers.
