Hello, which independent camping/outdoor stores with a physical retail location are you fondest of that are in the GTA? Ontario options also good to hear about as I drive a lot. I only know of Canadian Outdoor Equipment. I use a lot of online sites but am curious if there are any gems out there that I am missing. Thanks in advance.

I don't know about favorite because so many are disappearing.
But there's Hikers Haven in Oakville
Adventure Attic - Dundas (Hamilton)
Adventure Guide - Kitchener

Speaking about suppliers on the internet, has anyone used Latulippe in Quebec? I got good service and pricing, and was delighted to deal with a Canadian based outfit.

Also , there is a place in Sudbury, but I can't recall the name. It's in an old GM dealership on the left as Highway 69 enters town.

Sojournes in Barrie has always been a go to. Really miss the store in Newmarket when Roger retired...

Awesome, lots of great spots for me to check out! Much appreciated! Chicopeesnowshoe - I have not heard of them but I have used La Cordee (https://www.lacordee.com/), which had some unique gear! I'll check them out.

ScoutTech Outfitters located in a strange little plaza in Mississauga, though they do a lot of on-line business so maybe you'd never see the store. Small store, but they have varied selection. And they'd probably be able to source things.

I would second ScoutTech and Canadian Outdoor Equipment. I've given more money happily to Canadian Outdoor Equipment then I like to admit sometimes.

I also like Outdoors Oriented (https://outdoorsoriented.com/) in St. Catharines. They would always happily bring in stuff for me and price match MEC or sometimes beat MEC's price if it was already an in stock item.

London Paddle Shop - https://www.londonspaddleshop.com/ (more paddling focused than camping but still relevant)

I forgot about scoutech, I've only been there once but I keep forgetting about them... they carried granite gear packs if I remember correctly.

Ramakko's. We blew up a camping mat and got a replacement from them. We were lucky to have been able to keep to the purchase of ONE item.
