I will be camping at Tom Thomson lake for 2 days (weekdays) and should i carry bear spray ... Is it reauired?

It's not required.
It offers piece of mind but I don't think it's all that practical to use. If deployed under the wrong conditions and there is any blow back, you could be in a worse situation. Chances are that you will be focused on getting away, rather than focused on aligning with the wind and getting within striking distance. I had a bad experience with the stuff many years ago when the can let go inside the pack I was carrying it in. Aside from ruining the pack, it was a real burn to clean up and I haven't carried it since.
