No emails, just tell us all how was it.

Did you get any snow last week?
Did you see any wildlife?
Where did you travel?
Horror stories? Good stories?

We couldn't put in where we were supposed to. On the train up we saw lots of frozen lakes, rivers were open.

From Savant Lake we drove til we realized the lakes were all frozen so turned around at the satillite station. Camped at a putin on Pashkokogan River.

Very cold nw winds, had snow, sleet and rain. Based camped there but did day trips, locating potential campsites and found a couple portages. Cleaned up the site were were on and others. Phil said we went from Plan A to Plan C ...but he was please with what we did.

There was just 3 of us as Jeff had a bad fall off his barn so couldn't come ( he is recovering, but still hurting )

The big portage at the rapids was all blow down, a real mess. We of course didn't finish making it doable to get across but put a pretty good dent in it. Phil pointed out a blaze that was 100 yrs old !!! pretty kool. Im sure the 4 guys this week are working hard at this portage and making it safe to get through.

Saw bald eagles, moose , caribou and wolf scat.
The guys saw a Kingfisher. Beavers playing for most of the nite .. flapping their tails.

Tent sites were made on deep moss, with rocks underneath, rolled back moss to level out. Only had fires at 2 spots, due to unsafe conditions, couldn't find rock and were surronded by black spruce and spruce trees, dead and alive.

The weather started to get better the second last days so the mosquitos started to come out .. big suckers they were ! Didn't fish, just to busy or tired.

Didn't make it to the pick up point, I think just one lake short. Really nice flight out, right across the whole park, pretty kool. I know the 4 guys in now have lots of work to do, but they will have fun, and should get to fish at some point.

Picked up lots of garbage.

It was a great 8 nites. We slept pretty well at nite, even though it was pretty cold. Phil kept us plenty fed..meals were great. Had lots of hot drinks .. and a few cold ones..lol.

Thats all I can think of now, my body is pretty tired, so is the mind !
