I'm looking for a campsite which feature a waterfront so I'm able to launch my canoe steps away from the campsite. Does anyone have any experiences of such a place? I've been to a few campgrounds and I would always have to drive to the lake or river.

Hi, Webmonkey, I'm out in Edson and there are quite a few places like that around here so I would imagine that there are others around the province. Here are a few:
Willmore Park just south of Edson is on the McLeod River
Pembina River Provincial Park is located between Entwhistle and Evansberg about an hour west of Edmonton.
Carson Pegasus Provincial Park It's on McLeod Lake
McLeod River Prov. Rec. Area
Rock Lake Prov. Rec. Area
Jarvis Lake Campground in William A. Switzer Provincial Park
Gregg Lake Campground
Obed Lake Provincial Park
Fairfax Lake Prov. Rec. Area
Wildhorse Lake Prov. Rec. Area
You'll have to do a search to find out more info about these. Hope this helps. Good luck.
Ralph
