Ralph,

If he is truley scared of ww then this isn't going to work. If he is capable, but just hasn't had the experience then it's a possibility.

You know your group best, and I think your correct in not pushing someone into an uncomfortable situation. It detracts from the trip for everyone.

Our group was inexperienced but willing.

Jerry

Hugh, points well taken, and good advice.

Jerry,
She is a very willing wilderness canoe camper but extremely nervous in moving water. Add rocks and turns and then it becomes extremely nerve-racking for her. The solution is a long-term one - slow, small increases in exposure but, for now, it is best that we avoid these situations.
Thanks for all of your input,
Ralph

I'm curious about the specifics of driving to Waterbury lake. I'm planning a trip for late August (not the ideal time, but as early as I can get away). I haven't seem a road to Waterbury marked on a map. Is it any worse that the rest of the gravel? Does it turn off from the road to Points North? Where? Is there any marking? Also could send send me the info on where it meets the lake?

Thanks,

Ted E Bear

Do a search in this forum. There has been a lot said about the road to Waterbury - it's a difficult drive if you don't have an appropriate vehicle (Vern and Rob will know).
