It was good start to the year and the water level in the rivers north of Prince Albert has been good. Other than the late ice on the lakes :( .

We ended up paddling the Waskisue River on May 11 this year. The water levels were ok there were 5-6 spots that are fairly rocky but passable. I was glad we were in a royalex and not my Kevlar for this trip :D .There was also one tree blown across the length of the river. It fell in a good spot and was easy to drag the canoe on the bank to get around it. We did see some other paddlers that mourning which was nice. We did not stop along the river and finished at highway 2 in about 4.5hrs.

We also paddled the Torch River on 24 may. The water levels were perfect and lots of white water. We paddled the section north of Love to the White Fox Bridge. My brother forgot the keys in the drop off vehicle and brought it up half way down the river. So the rest of the trip I though he was just messing with me, but it turned out he was not kidding lol. It was a lot of fun though. They river is running fast so it only took 2.5hrs. This river I will be paddling again this year for sure.

We will be doing the Montreal River(highway2 to 165 bridge) on 07 June it looks like the water levels will be good for a while. I am looking forward to this run and hope to have time to scout the smooth stone River while in the area. Well this is my first post on this sight and i enjoy reading the forums.

Hope everyone has a great year of paddling.

Cheers
