In June of this year my wife and I were on the Clearwater.
Near the lower end of the bypass creek around Whitemud Falls (Bradly Creek in Archer's guide) we found a Pelican Case containing Sony video camera.
The case was still dry inside and the camera looks OK.
It had been in the creek for several years by the looks of the outside.
We would like to get it back to the owner if possible.
So.... let us know if it is yours or if you have an idea of who that person may be.
Thanks,
Tom Kimbrough

Thanks for sharing this Tom, I'll share it with a few folks that have been down the river.

Tom, were you able to view any video from the camera? If stills or sections of video could be posted perhaps it could identify the owner or the group. Facebook is a pretty powerful tool for that sort of thing - look me up (Bryan Sarauer in Saskatoon) and I can share the images with my prairie paddling contacts.
Cheers,
Bryan

We have not tried to view any of the footage. The batteries are dead and I don't have the equipment to charge them.
Your idea is good so..... when I get around to it......
I will see if I can manage to access some footage and post it.
We are packing for a trip on the Elk (Thelon tributary Elk) so are a little busy.
