Dream of canoeing and You get busy and work on your maps of course.
also make a post in the Sask. section as it has been sooo quiet!
Well I have been making progress on my maps.

I have started with the MacKay Lake area as that is hopefully the first place that I will get to explore.
Here are a couple of screen shot of what I have going on. :D

I more than welcome any comments/suggestions and if you have data that you would like to share that would be FANTASTIC. The plan is to release the maps out into the wild.

Hi,
Nice looking maps! I am a little unclear about your chart.
Are you aware that Ric at CRCO produces maps of that area?
Anyway, what assistance are you looking for?

Hi Ralph,

Here is a link to my complete (so far) MacKay Lake map
https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B-b_mEhebzKtcHBFSHlZRXFEMXM/view?usp=sharing

Info that I am looking to add/update on the map is stuff like other campsite locations, number of tents that could fit on the site, site issues
Type of fish in a particular lake. The fish data so far comes from the Sask. Gov. stocking info.
The class of rapids.
Landmark places/items to help people to know where they are for sure.

And any other relative information that people would like to see on a map.

Yes, I do know about Ric's maps and I have a good half dozen or so.
This/these maps are really an update/modernization of those maps with more details.
And since I am hoping it will be a community project. They will be free for downloading or a charge for printing.

Thanks
John

John,
It looks like you have some pretty recent stuff (the southern route from Hebden into Freestone was only re-established about 2 years ago). You also have more campsites than I was aware of so I'm not sure that I can add anything. If I do notice something, I'll let you know.
This will be a nice addition for paddlers.
Thanks for doing this.
