Hi, I was wondering if anyone had used this road recently? Do you think a Nissan Rogue would make it?

Cheers

We just drove the short section from Points North to the Waterfound. I don't think it would be a good idea in a Nissan Rogue. The problem would be the tires. Everyone up there uses 10 ply tires and your Rogue would probably have 4ply. We drove a half ton with 5 ply tires and got a flat on the good section of road north of Missinipe and it could not be repaired because it was a 3" gash from a sharp rock.

If you could take a few spares, then maybe it'd be worth a shot but remember that you'd be loaded with gear so every rock you hit would be a huge impact with little suspension travel to absorb the shot.

Thanks for the comments Neil. I was tempted to save a few dollars by flying from Stony to Selwyn Lake rather than from Points North but maybe not worth the risk of being stranded.

Cheers
