Just looking for a little info for my cross-canada river foray this summer.
I'm paddling 10 different rivers in 10 provinces in 10 consecutive days and want to run a bit of the South Sask by Saskatoon....and info on a short run in the area thats easy to access....put-in's and take-outs would be absolutely the most helpful.
Thanks
Dan

How short are you looking for? You could put in at Victoria Park (there is a canoe club dock there) and pattle to the Mendel art gallery. Should be about an hour. There are many other options for longer trips. There is a publication ....Something like South Saskatchewan Ecocanoe guide that covers the whole river from Gardner dam at lake Deffinbaker to the forks where it joins with the N. Sask river.

Yah, and I dig how you spelled the chief's name, too!

the rule is.....spelling doesn't count in here!!
thanks for the info.....sounds like just the short run i'm looking for on this trip
my goal is to paddle a new river in a different province each day so the runs have to be fairly short in order to make the next one....
there's always next year to go on longer trips.
I solo paddled the North Saskatchewan from its headwaters by the Columbia Icefields to Edmonton 2 summers ago....that was a good one!
anyways...thanks for the info
its absolutely helpful in making this a success
thanks again
Dan
