My wife and I are going to be in Saskatoon for about a day and a half in late June. We don't have anything specific planned and were wondering about a possible day trip. If there is something suitable, is there any place to rent a canoe? Thanks for any advice you have.

P.S. Any other sugestions of things to do while in Saskatoon would also be welcome!

I don't know about where to rent a canoe but for a day trip I remember we went walleye fishing up on Fog Lake. Paddled around etc ... it was a beautifull area.

I can't remember how far north of Saskatoon it was but I don't think it was too awefull far.

A couple of places will rent you a canoe, and could likely give you advice on where to go, shuttles etc. Don't really do much paddling in the city here myself these days.

Eb's Sail and Sport (306) 652-0385
Boomtown Outfitters (306) 242-0882

There's a canoe club in town here, but I really have no idea if they rent out their boats to non-members. But, they' might have some good ideas.
