View topic - Any contacts at Norway House?

Good day,

I'm planning to paddle the Hayes from Norway House to York Factory in August and it seems like a good option is to drive to Norway House and leave my car with an outfitter or B&B, then on the way back, float plane to Gillam, train to Wabowden and be picked up and taken back to NH. Just wondering if anyone had a contact at NH? I tried a number for Riverside Outdoor Adventures at 204 359 4444 but the number is out of service.

That would be Rob Miekle and he is no longer in business as far as I know. Have you gotten anyone to do your shuttle for you? I have some enterprising relatives in NH who might be able to do a shuttle for you.

Worth noting...the rail line to Churchill is currently shut down for track repairs with no reopening date.

I'll be looking for someone who would be willing to look after my car for three weeks then come to pick me up from Wabowden station and shuttle back to NH. Send a PM if you can suggest someone.

Looks like Via Rail are still operating a normal service as far as Gillam.
