Just wanted to add to the Hayes River info bank.
As of May 2015:
To Fly out of York Factory on Gillam Air 204-652-2109 $1700 +GST no change from last year. No Otter from them but there is a Twin Otter on floats, in Thompson at around $5800 http://www.wingsoverkississing.com

There is a boat shuttle available.

Will shuttle you out for $3500.
Not sure how many boats he can fit in his boat but our quote was for 4 people two canoes. This is comparable to flying for larger groups.
This is a unique trip in that you get to go out onto the Bay and then up the Nelson to Gillam. Around 5 h trip.

Clint (Nelson River Adventures) lost his boat last fall to a fire. As far as I know, he is planning on getting a new boat this year.

I've talked to him on the phone and he is up and running. I assume it's a bigger boat than before as I know of a large group heading into York Factory in Aug to do some archeological work.

Yeah, he was planning on getting a bigger boat (with a diesel powered jet-drive), I just wasn't aware he had ordered it yet.

We went out to York Factory with Clint a couple of days ago. His new boat is 28ft, and there is room for 12 passengers. I'm not sure how many canoes he'd be able to fit. Regardless, it's an impressive boat and the trip was well worth the cost.
