View topic - du Lievre trip blog

Well Trish my bow-woman has finished writing our blog and posting pictures of our trip on the duLievre this summer . Check it out at our "paddlpics" site at blogspot.com . There's reports there also of the Upper Missinaibi and the Kopka rivers in Ontario . Next blog out should be the Ashuapmushuan which I did this september with two others , paddling the Supernova which wore a Northwater spray deck for the first time ever ..turned out to be useful in that big water ( running about 300cms- perfect !) . We met another group there of seven in 3 tandems and a kayak , passed them actually at Rapides des isles ( ran that in one long adrenalin rush left to right - wild !) .
Plans for 2011 include the Gens de Terre and the Broadback . I'm in the hunt for companions for the GensdT -that's one stream I won't paddle alone on , and it's a little much for trish tandeming ....so I'll be using the Supernova again and soloing .
The fall of '11 however she and I will be "Broadbacking " together in the Prospector......all in all 2011's shaping up as another great paddling year , just like 2010.
