I am looking at doing a trip into Madashack Lake down near Pubnico. Other than a few pictures on google earth as proof that other have been, I haven't found any information pertaining to portages to get in. I would suspect between Little Madashack and Madashack lake the trail would run along the small outflow between them. Can someone confirm the portage between Pubnico Lake and Little Madashack? I see a small tail of a stream leaving a bay in that general direction but it quickly is swallowed by the forest. For anyone who has been in to Madashack lake are there any established campsites?

Another question regarding Sixth Lake up in the Sissiboo watershed, is the old chimney still standing at the campsite on the lower end of the lake?

Thank you,

RyanR

The carry from Pubnico Lake and the Madashacks is very well used. I'm not sure about established campsites but there is a few hunting camps on the Madashacks with quite a bit of traffic. Also yes the chimney is still standing on Sixth Lake.
