Howdy,
In May 2007 I walked from Gjoa Haven to Baker Lake and had that McCreadie Book with me. Can someone tell me about where that Waterfall shown in the Back River section is located. It wasn't certainly not Sinclair Falls.
Would appreciate if someone could help me.

It's not on the Back at all; this is from our 2005 trip from Jim Magrum to the coast, a much less adventurous trip than yours.
Where the falls is, I don't know; I think I asked this in another thread.
Do you know Pat Lewtas? He does much the same kind of trip as you.
Best wishes, Allan

Garry Davies has located it!

From his email message to me (with permission):

The falls in McCreadie book and shown under the Back River description is really located on the Tree River Nunavut- 67.181, 112.337. Found it in one of the Canadian geological survey sites.

Here's a thread on the Tree River:

Here's something on the Tree from NRCan

I don't see the falls though.

The Tree stub at Wikipedia is not so informative (Hmm; is that why it's called a stub?):

As best I know, it was George Drought who first pointed out that that falls is not on the Back; I think that I asked him about it in preparation for our Back trip of 2005.

Here's the post I made in the General Discussion Forum (in retrospect, the wrong place to post it):

EDIT:
Garry gave the following photo number:
GSC Photo Number 2001-264
