On my recent trip to Algonquin, our last morning was greeted by a magical mist. The combination of the low Sun angle, trees hiding the sun, mist and resulting underexposed subjects made these captivating images possible!!!

Georgie,

these are interesting pics.

Strikes me because the hand is so prominent, nearly threatening. Not intended, obviously, but that's what caught my eye at first glance.

Is neat in its blend of geometry and nature - a favorite shot of mine.

WC's last pic is neat too, with a lot of depth and colour.

Woooooo hooooo Steve, I was just thinking about how the more time you can spend at a place the more likely you are to hit the atmospheric conditions right for a great shot. As a photgrpaher, you have to roll over and peak out of your tent just around sunrise, and if things look promising, you're getting up.

I'm assuming your contribution, being on Island lake would be evidence in favour fo that point. Great shot.

Thanks Norm, but I have to admit, it was my oldest son, Mitch, that took the photo ---(he's a senior at Ohio State :) )

I'm going back up next week for one last trip, to get some pics of my own!

When I look at all these pics, don't they make perfect computer desktop background images - not too busy and with a mellow colour tone to let the icons stand out - ....

....and still let you dream while you slave away at the keyboard.
