The Perseid Meteor shower will reach its peak between the 11th and 13th of August. It's centre is in the northeastern part of the sky but if you're photographing it aim your lens more to the north. It is predicted that there will be as many as 200 meteor outbursts per hour, almost twice the usual rate, so it should be quite a show. Best viewing time would be between 1 am (after moonset) and around 4 am. ... ign=buffer

Just got back from our 29 day trip on the Berens River. Of 29 possibles only 3 nights offered clear skies. What are the odds of that?! Did manage to get a few nice shots of the Milky Way and even the Aurora. Absolutely fabulous trip by the way.
