So glad to see this, I can put up with a little junk (on my junk email account 8) )
Sometimes Aurora just happen, so this will be a bonus!

Aurora alerts are now free on Space weather.com, go to todays story on "a hole in the sun's atmosphere" and at the bottom of the article! :) and sign up!

Hey Jeff,

Does it actually work? I just always check the three day forecast and if kp levels are 4 or more I usually pay more attention. This is a game changer if the service alerts actually reach you in time. Thanks a whole bunch!

They used to charge for this, and it was their posting on their facebook page on the last outbreak that was not in the forecast.
We had clouds here in the GTA but I was able to let my son know in N.B. and he got to see them for the first time as an Adult, I took him out when he was 4 or 5 and barely remembers the event.
I also use the forecast and other alerts and others including the NOAA map, but sometimes I do not look to see what is happening. This will be just another tool in trying to see them more often.
As it happens I am usually weather bound or too far away, but I have been able to help a couple of others see them.
