Packing for a car camper a certain person, to whom I am married, dumped a case of Guinness draught cans in the empty cooler. Dumped, not placed. In the cooler already in the back of the van.

One of them exploded, spraying the headliner, which forever after looked like a Jackson Pollock work during his brown period.

I was given to believe this was my fault.

^Funny story, lol. I bet for you it would be funnier if someone else posted it!

"to whom I am married" is phrased in the present tense so I assume you silently shouldered the blame, and your spouse doesn't follow this forum.

She doesn’t, and I did. I’ve been married 30+ years; I ain’t no fool. The look she gave me post-Guinness explosion and headliner bespattering was sufficient warning.

About holes in aluminum cans, I’ve pulled cans out of the truck cooler, after long road trips where the cans were floating and jostling around in a pool of melt water. No rocks or ledges inside the cooler, just bobbling companion cans.

A (suspiciously quiet) pop top snap and “Ahhhh, still cold!” quaff. Hmmm, kinda flat, and watery tasting though. Yup, there’s a tiny hole.

Waste not want not.
