Was fun to find this old trip report on a cold March day. Fun little read. I liked the spider part. I hammock camped in the Mexican jungle once and had a similar experience. Oh look, spider eyes! Oh look, more spider eyes. Holy shit, that's a lot of spider eyes....

Made me glad I wasn't weirded out by spiders and also glad that I wasn't an insect.

Thanks guys.
Currently in Florida. Plans A, B, and C, rivers coming down from the north, all have unfriendly high water so I've headed on farther south. Suwannee is high but doable, and falling. Will spend some time on it on the way back north.
