Saw this quote today.
Seems to fit us solo paddlers :D
And since my wild beast days have long since passed...
I must be a God.... 8)

Quote:
Whosoever is delighted in solitude is either a wild beast or a god.

Congratulations, Jeff.
Unfortunately for me, I've heard it from a number of sources that I'm much closer to being a wild beast than a god.

Considering the fact that there is no credible proof of a "god", I would say I'm a wild beast.

I'm with Gordon. Facts are facts. But why the lack or choices that are real? Seems like we all must be beasts.... some more beastly than others.

Even if there isn't a God, Jeff can feel god-like, if he wants to. So there.

Aristotle lived in a time where gods very much answered that which could not be answered by man. I'm OK with Jeff being god-like.

I am sort-of both or somewhere in between. Depends when: at times I feel like a god, and at others I know I am a complete ass.

At least in my own mind....

I would never put myself on the same footing as the River Gods....
Wouldn't want them to take offence with me on my next trip... :)
After all it is winter and we need to keep ourselves amused.

How about a fairly domesticated beast that loves being wild? I am definitely no god. :)
