Saw this Wenonah 15'4" Wilderness in Royalex on Kijiji a few days ago and brought it home Saturday. I guess I'll be doing my first solo next month!

Yes. But that kneeling mat is all in the wrong place! Needs to be cut in two and separated!
Looks like you got the klunk a seat. It rattles. It sometimes self adjusts one side at a time. Not where you want it.. You might play with it, decide where you like it and bolt it in place. Leave the hardware so you can resell it as having an adjustable seat. The one in my Argosy drove me wild.. mid river it would self adjust. You cannot fix on the fly.

Thanks, All..looking forward to trying it out.

Yes, Peek, it seems to be in very good shape. It's only four years old and was only used a handful of times for tripping. I wasn't really looking for an Rx boot as I don't plan on doing any rapids but reasonably priced used solos are rare enough never mind a high capacity one like this, which is what I need.

Regarding the seat, from what I've read, some owners have repositioned it - moving it back 6-8 inches or/and swapping it out for a fixed seat as LRC suggests. We'll have to see how it goes with and without the dog. I may end up doing that as well.
