My Canadian Tire Flyer that arrive this AM has a Garmin Marine 76 GPS advertised at $ 299.99. I know CTC well enough to be careful but this appears to be a good price. They show the Garmin Maps 76 GPS at $ 469.99.
Has anyone used either of these? I check the info on CCR but iI can not find the 76 on the list. Any tips on another GPS web site?
It is to cold to paddle at this hour that is why I'm not out on Owen Sound! :(

There is a lot of info through the site on GPS's and information on them. A little creative searching could get you a long way. If you can't find anything say so , and I'll go dig up some good posts for you.

Thanks Norm:
Found last winters posts on CCR. A Seach with Google Canada found several sites selling the GPS less the $ 299.99. I'm now thinking seriously about the Megellan. It looks like more for the same money but the Garmin clearer screen may be an advantage. I'll post my results.

I bought my Garmin in part because it had more screen resolution. If by clear you mean bigger, you maybe right. I think you would need to se the two units side by side to determine which was clearer.
