I'm heading up to the Copeland Forest for the first time tomorrow to do a little snowshoeing.

I've been surfing the internet like a fiend for the past two days trying to track down a map of the trails ... without luck.

Can anyone hook me up with a link to one? If not, can anyone tell me if there are takeaway maps at the trailhead marker/ pavillion?

Tx.

I've looked for years, too, and have never found any trail maps.

As for the trailhead, I'm thinking you mean the main parking area on Ingram Rd. There's never been any maps or other information the times we've been there. You pretty much park your vehicle and head in on the main trail. There are all kinds of trail markers, different coloured ribbons on the trees, all over the place.

You don't happen to be a geocacher, do you? Even if not, a gps might come in handy.

oh, geez, I forgot...

the coordinates, if you can use them, for the parking area on Ingram Road are N 44° 35.237 W 079° 41.018

Depending on how the road has been plowed, there may be room to squeeze a vehicle over to the side on the 5th line, where you could start a snowshoe excursion. Those coords are N 44° 35.276 W 079° 40.010

Tx Barb, but no GPS.

Better than adequate at finding "X-marks the spot" on a map though!

Sounds like a place that gradually opens up to you the more you are there.

Guess we'll just stick to the main trail(s) this time.
