Hey all, sorry I missed coming last year. I had so much fun previous years, I really missed it.

I'll be coming with two of my kids. Not Pamela, but this time the younger two. Geoffrey(11) and Caroline(8).

I'd really like to come up on the Sunday and break trail, but my kids don't make good mules yet and I expect I'll be looking at doing a couple trips to bring in all my gear. How far is the hike from the rail line? If it is too far, then I'll wait until tuesday when the trail should be packed down and easier to traverse.

cheers,
darryl

Hi Darryl:
It is about 1 km from track to camp. Hardest part of trail in is the first 150M down from the track and across the front of the beaver dam. Camp is a good size area mostly flat. Of the 3 camp sites I have been to this is by far the easiest to get into.
See you at the station
Stay Safe

Hi all,

I will probably appear on Tuesday and stay until Sunday. This year I would like to move around a bit, perhaps spending just the first night in the main camp and then moving to the North Lake or perhaps to the lakes SE of camp that Joe is going to break a trail to.

Looking forward to it,

Daniel.

Hi all,
Barring any last minute issues... I'll be coming in with Richard and Pete Thurs - Sun.... We couldn't miss the 10th annual celebration... so make room for 1 more hot tent...
Not that any of the DFer's missed out on celebrating during the last 9...
And for those who've missed it we'll have a singsong on Thurs night and I'll make sure to include the NorthWest Passage...
May even include a Tonycc's favourite "All I want for Campin' remix.  You never know...
Anyway see you all out there...

Hi,

As I mentioned I am coming in on the Tuesday and leaving on the Sunday.

Doesn't look like anyone else is coming in on Tuesday, but just in case there is, I am looking to scrounge a ride from North Bay to the train station to make the Tuesday departure, and possibly also a ride back on Sunday. I am by myself so I won't have a mountain of gear, but it is still a substantial amount.

Of course I would be willing to contribute to costs.

If not I will still come of course. Just have to rent a car I guess.

Thanks,

Daniel.

I feel bad that I can't help ya, as I am going on Sat. So if your plans change, I can take you Sat.

Good luck! Hope to see you there.

Hi Guys,

I haven't been on this forum very much lately, but I'd like to join you this year. We'll take the train on the Tuesday, Feb 22, and probably out Friday -- short visit.

Can anyone give the exact lat and long of the camp, so I can get a topo map?

Joining me will be my daughter (if she gets over her basketball sprain), and her boyfriend and his father, Matt and Joe -- all first-timers.

Looking forward to it!

Dave
