The first 5 are what I think our my best pics of the day.
(I like the last one too, as a pic but you can't see the boat)
Here's the Link to the album.

No pics of the slalom :(
Because of the rain, I got there at 6 am to start setup, 2 hrs. later the river had risen a foot, buy 2 pm it had risen 2 ft from 6 am....
I kept the camera in the truck.

Jeff, maybe it was raining but that didn't stop us from having fun, did it?!

That's what dry suits are for!

I was in Toronto for the weekend, and thought that I'd take my rain suit and camera over to watch the slalom.

So I set the GPS to what I thought were the coordinates of the site where the registration was being held and headed out. Since I had thought that the registration was taking place near the intersection of Church and Queen in Streetsville, and since it was not, I did not find the registration office.

I phoned my son and he got on his computer trying to find some information about the race in order to direct me to wherever the slalom was being held. He couldn't find anything except a reference to where the downriver race started.

I haven't checked since I got back to Ottawa to see if I can find anything more than he did, but since he's of the age that practically *lives* on computers and cell phones, I tend to doubt it.

In any case, I never found the slalom event, and didn't get any photos. After I gave up on finding the event, I did go back and walk a mile or so of some walking trail back where the downriver race was started. A nice walk despite the dreary weather.

Sorry you couldn't find it, if he went to the myccr site under events

I had a google link that took you right to the park
The intersection of Church & Queen is abut 300 m from the race site, down at the bottom of the hill.

The Race wrapped up at about 12:30
