A photo story of my trip to Wabakimi Provincial Park in June 2008 is located here (http://kokanie.ca/trip-reports) for anybody interested in browsing through.

Our 150km trip took place over 8 days in mid-June of 2008, and crossed the park.

note: This is a rich-media presentation that requires a broadband internet connection to enjoy.

Took me a while to get through that at work with all that work getting in the way but that was awesome.

The website layout was also impressive. Is that your design or is that a program you used?

How did that cup not get broken?

Site design/layout/typography is my work, but I integrated a special website module to make the gallery image management/display easy and pretty.

Dale stored that coffee cup behind him in the stern, and stuffed it in his cargo pant leg pocket on the canoe carry of each portage. I couldn't believe it made it one piece either, especially after we carried 18 of 29 portages on the route!

BTW.. Red Lake Rob, glad you enjoyed the slideshow

Hi Turtl,

I can't link to it, and it won't work in Google.

Can you re-link it and make it live with the URL tags on each end?

The site is brand new, so, perhaps the DNS hasn't propogated across the world yet.

Regardless, http://kokanie.ca/trip-reports. Hopefully this works for you.

The word "here" in your original post works fine as a link for me.

Definitely an interesting method of presenting a trip report. Well done.

Glad you enjoyed newrivertripper. I hope to do something similar (maybe with video from my new digicamcorder) if I am able to get out at the end of the month for a weekend run of Black Sturgeon River in Northwestern Ontario.

Just wanted to update this thread. I've created at new page on my site, just for Trip-Reports.

http://kokanie.ca/trip-reports

That way users won't have to sift through my all my photo stories to find trip reports.

Regards,

turtl

Nice report turlt.
I have done most of that trip in the past, a few times over the years , but I am very poor at documenting my experiences. It was nice to see how well and how different you were able to describe the route. I thoroughly enjoyed your presentation.
I look forward to seeing future trips that you go on.
Ed.

Very nice report..though because the park is pretty big now you just did a corner. There is more..much more

That means you must return..but the route you took is well used.

Many of them are not well used and wow you had a lot more than I take up there!

I too am terrible at chronicling the journey.
