Has anyone know if there is enough water to canoe from Cranberry Brook at Magaudavic Lake to Cottrell above McAdam? I have seen the opening at Magadauvic and have seen the brook as it crosses Duck Lake Road and have heard it was pretty good at Cottrell but know nothing in between.

I have been thinking of trying that route myself. I've driven by the Cottrell end on an ATV and always thought it looked canoeable. Apparently the natives used to paddle about halfway up it then portage over to Modesley Lake.
I've looked at aerial photos from the Service New Brunswick site and it looks like there is a lot of water for most of it's length. You can also see satellites images on Google maps.
If you give it a try let us know how you made out.

Thanks for your reply Thomas -- I will let you know how it turns out. May be some beaver dam portages etc... from what I have seen so far --- I don't think there is any rips or anything -- just flat-ass water but windy and narrow -- I like that type of paddling myself.

Ya, I imagine there will be a lot of Beaver dams. At the Cottrell end there a lot of large boulders in the deadwater.
Enjoy your trip.

If you have the photos uploaded to a public album, you need to post the link to each photo and put the img tags around each url.
1.) You can then type
[img]
at the beginning of the url and then
[/img]
at the end of it, or
2.) highlight the url and click the Img button that is visible at the top of the reply box when it's opened.
