Hello all I'm likely coming to BC with my teenage family next year. As well as some hiking and mountain biking we are looking for a 3 - 4 day canoe trip.
I'm an experienced canoe instructor, family used to short trips and Scottish paddling. We are looking for enjoyment rather than too much challenge! Happy to join others or head out on our own.
Ideally we need somewhere to rent everything - canoes, camping gear etc. This is to save excess baggage and lugging it all around for the rest of the holiday.
I know BC is rather large - the location of a canoe trip may steer much of the rest of the trip, but likely we ain't have time to get too far north.
Please make recommendations of routes and rental places who could help.
Thanks in advance.
Matt

Hi Matt, I'll second Recped's suggestion of Bowron Lakes through 3 to 4 day trip means you'll probably only get to do part of the park, ideally the western side. Still great canoeing witin snow cappe mountain ranges and Cariboo Falls on that side of the Park.
There are rental options right at the Park Gate- plus others local.
One thing worth noting though is what time of year are you travelling? Often the ice won't be off lakes until mid to late May. And booking Park reservations is required.
Have fun! Bruce

We will be there first couple of weeks in July we think, but school and college holidays last until end of August.
